What’s new in the “Festival de Valence” ?

Since 1973, the “First Summer Festivals” have livened up the city of Valence during a month (generally in July) and spotlighted art in all its forms (theater, music, humor …). In 2005, it is the international star Johnny Clegg who set the fire in his audience’s hearts. In 2013, a real show of communion in what was an emotional evening of true entertainment. On the occasion of the return of the pop rock group Dionysos in Valence, the show was punctuated by a rain of red feathers.

The festival will combine evening dances and open-air movie shows to the music. The Esplanade of the Champ de Mars – an enjoyable promenade for the Valentinois and visitors – will host the Festival de Valence and make the entertainement as accessible as possible.

The festival leaves the Jouvet Park to set up on the Champ de Mars. From 4 to 26 July 2015, attend the free concerts and discover a city rich with color, music and magic. As every year, the local artists have the place of honor. As they are spotlighted, they promise you beautiful moments of celebrations and emotions along side many talented and experienced people such as Charlélie Couture, Zebda and many other artists… This summer, welcome in our finalists of The Voice , Anne Sila and the talented DJ Maxime Dangles.

And during this month of festivities, note that the fireworks will be displayed  at 22:30 on France National Day. And remember also the arrival of the cyclists of the Tour de France on Sunday, July 19 .
